There are lots of ways you can help the RSPB and the Local group. Volunteers are an integral part of the RSPB. Go to the RSPB webpage to help you find the right role. Alternatively (or as well) you can help this your local group.
We can offer a number of ways to be involved from helping to make the tea and coffee at meetings to helping guide an outdoor trip on occasion.
We currently have the following committee vacancies.

Provide administrative support to the group leader. Prepare the agenda for bi-monthly meetings. Minute the bi-monthly meetings and circulate to committee and RSPB office Take minutes at AGM and circulate them as above and distribute them or display them at the following AGM. Book venue for committee meetings. Keep organized and tidy files and records. |

Engaging speakers for 9 meetings a season. Negotiating fees and equipment requirements. Booking the venue for meetings. Agreeing the proposed programme with the committee in the spring. Contacting the speaker two weeks before the meeting to ensure all is well. If possible, greeting the speaker at the meeting and liaising with the hall superviser if required. Attend committee meetings. |
